Fudo-Myoo, The Immovable One and one of the Five Wisdom Kings, also known as Acala

He converts anger into compassion. Cuts away negative demons and feelings to liberate us through self-control. He battles evil with his immovable faith and his compassion. He guides deceased souls and presides over funeral ceremonies on the seventh day after death.

Flames around him represent the burning of anger and passion to purify the mind. He stands or sits on a rock to represent his determination to be immovable. The rope in his left hand is to catch and bind demons. The sword in his right hand is to subdue demons and to cut through ignorance. He has two fangs, one pointing upward to represent the strength of his desire to progress upward in his service for the truth, the other downward to represent his compassion for those suffering in body and spirit. Often he has a third eye representing his capacity to see all. He has very dark blue skin almost black. His hair is braided to one side in the manner of a servant to represent his service to all conscious beings.

When struggling with temptation or other deterrents on one's path to enlightenment call on Fudo for help staying on the path.
